Still image version: [link]

Turn the sound on and hit F11 for a full page view!

Sorry about the double upload! DA's upload system is being dumb and wouldn't let me replace the old 16.5MB file that never loaded with this smaller better-quality version. So instead of waiting in a ridiculously long line for help and having people add the crappy version, I'm now uploading the better version.

Differences: non-crappy .jpeg quality, extended length, original frame rate, and only 5MB

Armor concept for a character of mine. Also first time working with After Effects.

Current music: Minister Cho's Estate - Jeremy Soule

o 3 o I love how you animated the heat! That, and I like how the floating debris are so well timed and distributed.

A tutorial on how to do something like this would be amazing! haha

Is there one that you used for reference? Or did you figure out how to do this completely by yourself? Because if so, kudos!

I used the Guild Wars concept art trailers as inspiration. This was the first time I had used After Effects, so it was mostly a trial-by-error work. As far as tutorials go, check out Video-Copilot for tons of informative videos.
