Mortus Character Study by Changinghand Mortus Character Study by Changinghand
More GW2 character studies of mine - armor and body type concepts. Nice to draw some non-humans for a change.

I really love your paintbrush strokers - they are so reminiscent of the GW2 official art style, done with a chunky almost marker effect, and yet creating such a fluid pretty form! Bravo

Thanks, my mark making is also taken from influences like the French Impressionists. They were also very good at simplifying complicated details into lines and shapes.

you know, I really like the blindfold headwrap from the bottom left sketch... that's very yes :3

Heh, I liked that one too but it felt a bit too "thiefy". Figured I'd reserve it when I design my thief, Burglary Squad Steve.

Though I'm now thinking of making him look a bit more cowboy-esque. Guess that frees up the blindfold, but I'm still deciding.

I'm going to have to see what the Nightmare Court are like. Until then, yeah, that statement is pretty much law.
